Dear Sir

Indian Medical Association expresses it’s deep concerns over the issues revolving the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh

It is unfortunate to learn that many Doctors and medical students fell victim to either malpractices related to admissions process or have been victimized for having shown the courage to expose the people behind the scam

Indian Medical Association takes strong exception to the fact that almost everyday key witnesses are being found dead in mysterious circumstances. This includes a dean of medical college who has shown exceptional courage in exposing the facts to the special investigation team. IMA requests to kindly speed up the CBI investigation so as to bring all the culprits to justice without delay

Respected Sir,

The Vyapam Scam has shaken the country as well as the medical fraternity.  Out of about 40 deaths reported in the media over 12 are linked to the medical profession and to the medical entrance examination.  It looks like that wide variations between a private  medical  college  capitation  fee  and  a  nominal  fee  in  the  Govt.  Sector is responsible for the scam and the deaths.

We  are  happy  that  the  Apex  Court  has  directed  a  CBI inquiry.  But the IMA is concerned about:-

1. The safety  of IMA  Jabalpur  Branch,  President,  Dr. Sudhir  Tiwari  who  has been one  of  the whistle  blower in  the  whole  episode.  He needs Police protection.

2.  Two of the Deans of a medical college in Jabapur, Dr. D.K. Sakkale and Dr. Arun Sharma died of unnatural deaths.  We need to protect other staff working in the same medical college.

 3. The  case  of  Namrata  Damor  a  19  year  old  medical  student  who  died  in January  2012  hopefully  will  be  reopened.  All  the  doctor  who  conducted Autopsy  on  her  and  said  that  this  was  not  a  case  of  suicide  also  need protection.

4. Dr. Rajnder Arya, Vijay Singh Patel, Narendra   Singh Tomar, Ramendra Singh   Badoria,   Amit   Sagar,   Anshu   Sachan,   Gyan   Singh   Jatav,   Tarun Machar, Ravindra Pratap Singh they all died of mysterious deaths and were directly linked with the medical profession. This needs thorough probe.

Kindly take this matter seriously with an information to IMA regarding what action has been taken to protect the family of the deceased, faculty indirectly linked with people involved in Vyapam scam and doctors who have performed Autopsy on the deceased persons.

Looking forward for your favorable action.
