Indian Medical Association (IMA), registered under Societies Act 1860, is the elite apex body of Indian medical professionals. It is one of the largest Medical Associations in the world with 3.5 lakh members from different specialties. IMA has 31 State branches and more than 1765 local branches spread across the country.
IMA publishes and circulates a monthly publication namely "IMA News" which is the official mouth piece covering the recent activities of IMA and its local branches for the information of all the members of the Association which consists of a special elite group of medical professionals in their medical & geographical area of practice. These leaders happen to be the decision makers in the Association working.
